Circuitry of washing water in a plastics recycling plant

For the process of plastics recycling the recyclable material has to be pre-washed. The washing water is circulated and purified using a Leiblein plant.

Functional description

A part of the water is continuously taken from the water circuit and purified by a treatment plant. Suitable flocculant is added to the water in a reaction vessel.

Sedimentable particles are separated by the lamella separator and collected in a sludge funnel. The cleaned water flows through a gravel filter back into the circuit. If necessary, a (optional) biological purification step can be interposed, degrading organic particles and reducing potential smelling nuisances. The deposited sludge from the lamella separator is drained by a decanter.
